INSURANCE POLICIES

We strongly advise you to contact your insurance company to confirm your physical therapy benefits prior to starting your first session with us. While most insurance plans allow patients to self refer to physical therapy, some require referral from your primary care or specialist physician.

As of October 31st 2023, PSPT will no longer be in network with United Health Care/ Optum/ AARP Med Advantage plans.

If you have a co-pay, be prepared to pay this at each visit. For your initial visit, we will contact your insurance company ahead of time to verify coverage. However, this is not a guarantee of payment and we strongly advise that you contact your insurance company.

Work Injury

If you are coming in for a workman’s compensation claim, please have your claim number, adjuster’s name and phone number available when you call to make your first appointment. We will then verify that your claim is open and contact you to schedule your first visit.

Motor Vehicle Accidents

First party payment accepted for treatment related to motor vehicle accidents. If you are coming in for treatment after a motor vehicle accident, please have your vehicle insurance information available when you call for an appointment. We will call to verify that you have PIP (Personal Injury Protection) benefits before scheduling your first visit.

Please note that we do NOT accept 3rd party payment.

Medicare

As of February 2017 we now are able to take Medicare Part A and certain Medicare Advantage Plans for physical therapy coverage.
